Paranormal Investigations

Ben and Myself helped out LPI last weekend's investigation and not only did we get the weird battery drainage but it sparked another good question Ben and I thought about. Where these recorders were at, the EMF (Electromagnetic Frequencies or Fields) were over 1.0 the whole time and sometimes were even in the 10's which is quite high and these two areas is where we were having the most activity (Shadows, voices, movement, footsteps).

Question: One theory is that entities manipulate the EMF and that is why we have meters to detect this fluctuation. BUT what if they don't just manipulate EMF, but that is where you are bound to get the most activity? So what if you are investigating a house or business and they have all the symptoms of being hypersensitive to EMF but they are REALLY experiencing paranormal activity? I don't agree with just going in and saying, "Oh, you have high EMF here and you are just experiencing a natural phenomenon." I would give the client the benefit of the doubt and I would do a full investigation like we would a place with activity so then when you find nothing THEN you can say it is a natural cause by EMF.

So, do you believe that high EMF can cause actual paranormal "hot spots", "Hot spots" where you would have the most personal experiences and/or evidence?

What do you think about this?

Our experiences so far haven't documented much of a correlation between EMF and activity. We take a base reading before an investigtion to identify the high EMF readings, if any, in a location so we know where those spots are relative to the equipment we are using and to identify any trouble areas for the occupants, (a definite bonus for them).

There have been a couple of investigations where we have had hits on the K2 that seem to be accompanied by signs of activity, but we have also experienced activity with zero EMF indications. I think it is a sound theory and warrants more research so we will continue to to watch for a correlation, but so far our readings have mostly uncovered electrical lines and questionable appliances. I should say though that we are relying totally on our K2 for EMF detection and I think you are using a totally different meter if I remember right. It's possible that is making a difference in the results. (I still have the other type on my shopping list).
