Since the first of the year , Bill and I have been going to the gym 3 times a week and working out. (Ok, the Dr had a little to do with this new incentive in our lives, it wasn't a totally original idea.) But our goal is to lose about 30 lbs each. Bill has a pretty good routine but most of what I do is walk and hit the bikes. It has been a struggle some days but I am up to about 3 mile walk each time now and it is a real crunch for the last one. At first it was a little intimidating when you have all these people who are in really good shape running on the treadmill next to you, (how do they do hat anyway? ), but what I lack in youthful exuberance I figure I make up for in dogged, relentless, determination. I was terrified at first that I was going to go whizzing off that treadmill like that guy in the commercial on TV. Zing! There she goes! But so far so good!
